Abstract:

The difference between the two countries in foreign policy is the basis of the conflict. While Turkey’s traditional foreign policy concept is stable against disaster, Iran’s foreign policy concept is stable against stability. This difference of understanding implies the relations between the two countries in the international arena. Despite Iran’s continuously creating its external enemy perception by moving with the concept of “Neither the West nor the East”, Turkey’s defense of its full asset is another reason for the tissue conflict in bilateral relations. Turkey’s development of relations with Iran could also affect the Arab geography. So there may be a possibility of a new block against the one-pole world. The concentration of bilateral activities between the two countries can be a solution to the problem of mutual confidence. Turkey does not want Iran to have no nuclear weapons because it will increase the arms race in the region, but it is carefully approaching this issue because it will break relations with Iran. Turkey wants Iran to use it for peaceful purposes, instead of producing nuclear weapons, under the control of international supervisors. The aim of our study is to look at the issues in the academic world in a comprehensive perspective while revealing the common interests and conflicts between Turkey and Iran. While using domestic and foreign sources in the study, I tried not to ignore their archives in the newspaper as well. I took advantage of the writings of many writers and academics who lived in that period to understand the spirit of the time.
