Abstract:

2019
Author:
Abstract:

In Classical (Old) Turkish poetry, discourse which is a serie of words used for telling a thought or anissue in a written and oral way shows itself as a concept and element that is often utilized to produceart and to signify the writer’s power and talent in poetry. Hence, the poets employ literary arts related to discourse, which are formed with the repetition of words and vocals, and they use discourse as the equivalent of their poetry revealing their art through this. In this context, this study focuses on how one of the most important masters of the 16th century Classical Turkish poetry, Fuzuli employs his discourse in his poems in Turkish Divan. The study deals with how the poet expresses his discourse, which he uses instead of his poetry through discourse and synonyms, how he treats the elements that he compares to in his discourse, and the praise of his discourse and poetry.
