Abstract:

Workers play an important role in providing health care services in the desired quality. Health workers must be well trained, high levels of knowledge and skills. Healthcare professionals are training medical technicians to work in healthcare services. It is very important that students are prepared for their work life with practical training in addition to theoretical education. This research is aimed at evaluating the opinions of the students of the Health Services Professional High School on semestral practices and summer internship processes. The research is planned to identify. The universe of research is composed of 950 students who studied during the 2018-2019 academic year, while the sample is 429 students who were randomly involved in research within all the programs in the high school. In the study, the literature scan was used by the researchers prepared survey form. Identifying statistics are used in the analysis of data. According to the results of the study, 34.5 percent of students found that theoretical education they received was sufficient to meet the needs of the profession, while 37.7 percent found that their application times were insufficient. The percentage of students who indicate the knowledge and experience of the healthcare staff and their sharing in the application process is 37.8%. 80.3 percent of students found that the summer internship had a change in their knowledge and experience, while 83.9 percent were satisfied with the institution they did.
