İşletme içerisinde meydan gelen mali olayların kaydedilip sınıflandırıldığı ve bu bilgilerin özetlenerek rapor haline getirildiği bir sistem olan muhasebe bu haliyle işletmenin mali durumu ve faaliyetlerinden elde edilen sonuçları ortaya koymaktadır. Ortaya konan bu sonuçları muhasebe bilgi kullanıcılarına aktarabilmesi adına hazırlanan tablolar mali tablo olarak tanımlanmıştır. Temel ve yardımcı mali tablolar şeklinde sınıflandırılan bu mali tabloların en önemlilerinden biri de nakit akış tablosudur. Diğer finansal tablolarla da birlikte ele alındığında, muhasebe bilgi kullanıcılarına işletmenin finansal durumu, borçlarını ödeyebilme gücü, varlılarındaki net değişimlerin ortaya konması gibi konularda önemli bilgiler sağlayan nakit akış tablosu son yıllarda ülkemizde de muhasebe standartlarına uyumun zorunlu hale gelmesiyle birlikte popüler hale gelmiştir. TMS 7 Nakit Akış Tablosu Standardı işletmenin faaliyet gösterdiği döneme ait nakit akışlarını esas, yatırım ve finansman faaliyetlerinden kaynaklanan nakit akışları olarak sınıflandıran bir nakit akış tablosu aracılığıyla, işletmenin nakit ve nakit benzerlerinde meydana gelen tarihi değişimler hakkında bilgi sunulmasını amaçlamaktadır. Tüm bunların ışığında bu çalışmada TMS 7 Nakit Akış Tablosu Standardı ile ilgili temel bilgilere değinilmiş ve standarda göre hazırlanması gereken nakit akış tablosuyla ilgili örnek uygulamaya yer verilmiştir.
Accounting, a system in which the financial events that are challenging within the enterprise are recorded and classified and the information is summarized and reported, in this way reveals the financial situation and the results obtained from the enterprise’s activities. The tables prepared for the purpose of transferring these results to accounting information users are defined as financial tables. One of the most important of these financial statements, classified in the form of basic and assistant financial statements, is the cash flow tables. When dealt with other financial statements, the cash flow table, which provides important information to accounting information users on topics such as the financial status of the business, the ability to pay their debts, the discovery of net changes in their assets, has become popular in recent years as compliance with the accounting standards has become compulsory in our country. The TMS 7 Cash Flow Table Standard aims to provide information about the historical changes occurring in cash and cash similarities through a cash flow table that classifies the cash flows of the period in which the enterprise is operating, based on the cash flows resulting from investment and financing activities. In light of all this, this study focused on the basic information regarding the TMS 7 Cash Flow Table Standard and included the application of a sample of the Cash Flow Table that should be prepared according to the standard.
