Abstract:

Although many of the questions asked about DNA and genes’ molecular structure have been answered, recent research shows that not everything is genes. Common genetic analysis in the fields of biology and medicine remains insufficient. Environmental factors can cause changes in genetic expressions during the process from the embryos to the last moment of life. Genes show themselves differently in each cell. The discipline of science that studies the external causes that cause the active or passive presence of genes is called "epigenetics" which means "over genes". Epigenetic changes occur without causing a change in the base series, are transmitted to the next generations and are often reversible. Epigenetic signs reveal the mechanical link between the environment, nutrition and diseases. In raising human and community health, it is important to benefit from health services, to understand the genetic characteristics of complex characteristics and to determine the social position of the person. The existing secondary education program needs to be updated to train citizens of the 21st century's science and scientific literature. Epigenetics is an important field of study as genetic. This study is an epigenetic scan of literature. All of this has been explained in this study the reasons why epigenetics is included in the secondary school curriculum.
