Geleneksel yaklaşıma göre deyimler kültürlerin özelliklerini yansıtan kalıplaşmış ifadeler olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Başka bir deyişle deyimler günlük hayatı içeren, az sözle çok kavram ve yargının dile getirildiği keskin ifadeler olarak açıklanmaktadır. Fakat, bilişsel dilbilim yaklaşımına göre deyimler insanın kavramsal dizgesinin ürünleri olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Bu çalışmada bilişsel dilbilimin kuramları ve yöntemlerine dayanılarak kulak sözcüğüyle kurulmuş deyimlerin anlamları incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın temel amacı, işitmenin gerçekleşmesinde önemli bir rol oynayan vücut parçasını ifade eden kulak sözcüğüyle kurulmuş deyimlerin anlamlarını güdüleyen bilişsel mekanizmaları ortaya çıkarmaktır.
Traditional approach describes expressions as shaped expressions that reflect the characteristics of cultures. In other words, the words are described as sharp expressions that contain daily life, with a few words of much concept and judgment expressed. But, according to the cognitive linguistic approach, words are called the products of the conceptual series of man. In this study, the theories and methods of cognitive linguistics are based on the meaning of the words established by the ear word. The main purpose of the study is to reveal the cognitive mechanisms that drive the meanings of the words established by the ear word that represent the body part that plays an important role in the realization of hearing.
