Abstract:

The aim of this study is to analyse and evaluate the curriculum of religious culture and ethics which was put into practice in 2010 in primary schools in terms of critical thinking. Nowadays, the diversity of information and the amount of information has emphasized thinking and especially critical thinking skills. First, critical thinking has been emphasized by making different definitions in this study. Afterwards, the introduction, the vision of the program, the principles and explanations related to the implementation of the program, the basic approach of the program, the principles that are basic for the development of the program, structure of the program, learning-teaching processes and the role of the teacher were analysed in terms of critical thinking. As a result, it has been seen that critical thinking skills are spread to every stage of the program and it is an important place in the program.  Theses, articles, books and studies related to the subject in Turkey and abroad were used in making the determinations and examinations. Document analysis method was used to examine the reflection of critical teaching skills on primary education religious culture and morality currıculum in Turkey. As a result, it has been determined that critical thinking skills spread to every stage of the program and constitute an important place in the program.
