Abstract:

In the areas where the universities are established; in the economic structure, the social and physical infrastructure, the contribution to the city and quality of life, the improvement of the level of education, the university campus's physical structures should be areas that well reflect the city image. To this, the universities need to be effectively managed, used, developed and coordinated in all respects of the units in the campus. One of the important parameters of this coordination is campus transport. There are many criteria that are effective when choosing how to provide transportation within the campus. The existence of numerous criteria turns the choice of campus transport into a multi-criteria decision making (CCCV) problem. The number of criteria that have been influenced in transport selection in this study was reduced to 8 main criteria, taking into account specialist opinions and literary scans, and was evaluated as two comparisons by students, administrative staff and academic staff currently in the May-July 2014 training-learning period throughout the University of Karabük. According to the results of the survey obtained, the weight of the criteria taken into consideration in the selection of the transport system was determined by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) which took into consideration the consistency of the answers. The main criteria determined by the weights were determined by the 3 transport options determined by the university management by making a bilateral side of which one was preferred. According to the results obtained by 34.5%, "Safety" is the main criterion, while "Rayly Systems" transportation option is found to be the main criterion in many of the main criteria.
