Abstract The aim of this research is to examine the effect of the organizational commitment of the employees on the performance of the hotel enterprises with tourism operation certificate operating in Ankara. Hotel businesses are labor-intensive businesses, and at the same time, staff turnover rates can be high. Therefore, it is important to ensure the organizational commitment of employees in hotel businesses. It is thought that this situation also affects their performance. In the study, data were collected from 409 employees with the snowball sampling method. Questionnaire technique was used in the data collection process. In the survey form, items were used to measure the organizational commitment and performance of the employees. After the scales used in the research were tested for reliability and validity, the findings were passed. SPSS and Amos statistical programs were used in the data analysis process. According to the results of the analysis, normative and continuance commitment have a positive effect on employee performance. However, it was concluded that affective commitment does not have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.
