İbn Hişâm’ın Şerhu Katri’n-Nedâ Adlı Eseri Bağlamında Dilcilere Karşı Tutumu

Hicri sekizinci yüzyılda yaşamış olan İbn Hişâm (öl. 761/1360) Arap dilinin önde gelen âlimlerinden biri olarak kabul edilmiştir. Kaynaklarda tam ismi Cemâlüddin Ebû Muhammed Abdullah b. Yûsuf b. Ahmed b. Abdillâh b. Hişâm el- Ensârî el-Mısrî şeklinde yer almıştır. Künyesi, Ebû Muhammed lakabı ise Cemâlüddin’dir. Ayrıca el-Ensârî, el-Mısrî ve en-Nahvî nisbeleriyle de bilinmektedir. Ancak İbn Hişâm veya İbn Hişâm en-Nahvî olarak meşhur olup tanınmıştır. İbn Hişâm, yaşadığı dönemin önde gelen âlimlerinden dersler almış ve Arap diliyle ilgili birçok eser telif etmiştir. Muğni’l-lebib ‘an kutubi’l-e‘arib, Evdahu’l-mesâlik ilâ Elfiyyeti İbn Malik, Katru’n-nedâ ve bellu’s-sadâ, Şerh-u katri’n-nedâ ve belli’s-sadâ, Şerhu şuzûri’z-zeheb, el-İ’rab an kavâ‘idi’l-i’rab yazmış olduğu eserlerden bazılarıdır. İbn Hişâm’ın Katru’n-nedâ adlı eseri Arap dili hakkında yazdığı veciz ve kapsamlı bir gramer kitabıdır. Başta yazarı olmak üzere birçok kişi tarafından şerhi yapılmış ve bu şerhler üzerinde de çok sayıda hâşiye yazılmıştır. Çalışma konumuz olan Şerhu katri’n-nedâ ve belli’s-sadâ adlı eser de müellifin kendisi tarafından Katru’n-nedâ’ya yapılan şerh türü bir eserdir. İbn Hişâm, Şerhu katri’n-nedâ ve belli’s-sadâ adlı eserini telif ederken Arap dili hakkında uzman olan birçok alimin görüş ve eserlerinden istifade etmiştir. Söz konusu eserini telif ederken kendisinden önce yaşamış olan birçok Arap dili âlimine atıfta bulunmuştur. İbn Hişâm, Şerh-u katri’n-nedâ ve belli’s-sadâ isimli eserinde özellikle bazı Arap dili âlimlerinin isimlerini sıklıkla zikrederken bazılarına ise çok az atıfta bulunmuştur. Müellifin söz konusu eserinde isimlerine çokça yer verdiği âlimler arasında Sîbeveyhî (öl.180/796), Kisâî (öl. 189/805), Ferrâ (öl. 207/822), Ebu’l-Hasen el-Ahfeş (öl. 215/830), Ebu’l-Abbâs el-Muberred (öl. 286/900), İbnu’s-Serrâc (öl. 316/929) ve Ebû ‘Alî el-Fârisî (öl. 377/987) gibi alimler yer almaktadır. Dolayısıyla İbn Hişâm, Şerh-u katri’n-nedâ ve belli’s-sadâ adlı eserinde birçok âliminin görüşüne atıfta bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ancak kendilerine atıfta bulunduğu âlimlerin görüşlerinin hepsini kabul etmemiştir. Bu görüşlerden bazılarını kabul etmiş, bazılarını da reddetmiştir. Bazen de ele aldığı görüşlerle ilgili herhangi bir yorum ve açıklama yapmadan sadece söz konusu görüşleri nakletmekle yetinmiştir. Bazen de söz konusu görüşler içerinde değerlendirmede bulunmuş ve kendi kanaatine göre en sahih olan görüşü tercih etmiştir. Müellifin Arap dili âlimlerine karşı sergilediği bu tutum, ele aldığı Arap dili gramer konularını iyice araştırdığını ve en sağlam bulduğu görüşü tercih ettiğini göstermektedir. Çalışmamızda, İbn Hişâm’ın Arap dili grameri hakkında telif ettiği, metin ve şerhinin kendisine ait olduğu Şerh-u katri’n-nedâ ve belli’s-sadâ adlı eserinde çeşitli dil konularını ele alırken isimlerine çokça atıfta bulunduğu ve nahiv alanında kendilerinden istifade ettiği Arap dili âlimlerine karşı tutumu incelenmiştir. Nitekim İbn Hişâm, söz konusu eserinde birçok dilcinin görüşlerini ortaya koymuş, zaman zaman söz konusu görüşler arasında karşılaştırmalar yapmış ve kendisi bazı tercihlerde bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada İbn Hişâm’ın özellikle nahiv alanında kendilerinden istifade ettiği ve isimlerine çokça atıfta bulunduğu Arap dili âlimleri ele alınmış ve söz konusu dilciler hakkında kısa bir tanıtım da yapılmıştır. Ayrıca bu çalışmada İbn Hişâm’ın Arap dili âlimlerine karşı tutumu, tercihleri, gerekçeleri ve görüşler nakledilirken taassupla hareket edip etmediği hususu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

In our work, Ibn Hisham has written about Arabic grammar, the text and sherhine belongs to him in the work of Sherh-u katri'n-nedâ and belli's-sadâ, addressing various language issues while he has many references to his names and the attitude against the Arabic language allies he has used from them in the Nahiv area. In fact, Ibn Hisham has revealed the opinions of many speakers in his work, sometimes compared those opinions, and himself has found some preferences. In this study, the Arabic languages that Ibn Hisham in the Nahiv area have been addressed and the Arabic languages that are referred to in their names have been discussed and a brief presentation has been made about the speakers concerned. In this study, it was also tried to identify whether Ibn Khasham’s attitude, preferences, reasons and opinions against the Arabic people were transmitted with taassup.

Ibn Hisham (d. 761/1360), who lived in the eighth century AH, is regarded as one of the leading Arabic language scholars. According to sources his full name is Jamâlüddin Abu Muhammad Abdullah b. Yusuf b. Ahmed b. Abdillâh b. Hisham al-Ansari al-Misri. His tag is Abu Muhammad, and his nickname is Jamâlüddin. In addition, he is known for the references like al-Ansari, al-Mısrî, and an-Nahvî. However, he has been famous and known as Ibn Hisham or Ibn Hisham an-Nahvi. Ibn Hisham took lessons from prominent scholars of his time and compiled many works related to the Arabic language. Some of the works he wrote are Muğni'l-lebib 'an kutubi'l-e'arib, Evdahu'l-mesâlik ilâ Elfiyyeti Ibn Malik, Qatru'n-nedâ wa bellu's-sadâ, Şerh-u Qatri'n-nedâ wa belli's-sâda Şerhu şuzûri’z-zeheb, al-I'rab an kawa'idi'l-i'rab. Ibn Hisham's work called Qatru'n-nedâ is a succinct and comprehensive grammar book written in the Arabic language. It was annotated by many people, primarily by the author of the work himself, and many footnotes were written on these commentaries. Our study subject, called Sharhu Qatri'n-nedâ wa belli's-sadâ, is also a commentary work made by the author himself to Qatru'n-nedâ. Ibn Hisham made use of the views and works of many scholars who were experts in the Arabic language while compiling his work called Sharhu Qatri'n-nedâ wa belli's-sadâ. He referred to many Arabic language scholars who lived before him while he was compiling his aforesaid work. While Ibn Hisham frequently mentions some Arabic language scholars' names in his work titled Sharh-u Qatri'n-nedâ wa belli's-sada, he made very few references to others. Among the scholars whose names the author uses a lot in his aforesaid work are Sîbeveyhi (d.180/796), Kisâî (d. 189/805), Ferrâ (d. 207/822), Ebu'l-Hasen al-Ahfesh (d. 215/830), Ebu'l-Abbâs al-Muberred (d. 286/900), Ibnus-Serrâc (d. 316/929) and Abu 'Ali al-Faraisi (d. 377/987). Therefore, it has been ascertained that Ibn Hisâm referred to many scholars' views in his work called Sharh-u Qatri'n-nedâ wa belli's-sadâ. However, he did not accept all the views of the scholars he referred to. He accepted some of these views and refused some of them. Sometimes he was content with just conveying the opinions without making any comments or explanations about the views he dealt with. At times, he made evaluations within the views in question and preferred the steadiest view according to his opinion. The author's attitude towards the scholars of the Arabic language shows that he thoroughly researched the grammatical issues of the Arabic language and preferred the views that he found the steadiest. In our study, Ibn Hisham's attitude towards the Arabic language scholars, whom he benefited from in the field of syntax and made a lot of references to while dealing with various language issues in his work called Sharh-u Qatri'n-nedâ wa belli's-sadâ, which was written about the grammar of the Arabic language and the text and commentary of which belongs to Ibn Hisham himself, is examined. As a matter of fact, Ibn Hisham put forward many linguists' views in his aforesaid work, made comparisons between these views from time to time, and made some preferences himself. In this study, Arabic language scholars whose works Ibn Hisham made use of, especially in the field of syntax, and whose names he referred a lot were handled and a brief introduction was made about the linguists in question. In addition, this study tries to determine Ibn Hisham's attitude towards Arabic language scholars, his preferences, justifications, and whether he acted with fanaticism when conveying opinions.
