Öğretim sürecinin etkili bir şekilde gerçekleşebilmesi, öğrenmenin kalıcı hale getirilebilmesi için öğretmenin konuya ve hedeflere en uygun öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerini belirlemesi gerekmektedir. Öğrencinin zihnini doldurulması gereken boş bir levha olarak gören, öğrenciyi pasif bir şekilde öğrenme ortamında bulunduran geleneksel öğretim yöntemleri yerini daha demokratik öğrenme ortamlarına bırakmıştır. Öğrenciler düşündüklerini özgürce ifade edebilecekleri, tartışabilecekleri, birbirlerini saygıyla dinleyebilecekleri, daha verimli bir şekilde öğrenme- öğretme etkinliklerinde yer alabilecekleri, rekabet ederek değil birbirlerinin öğrenmesine yardımcı olabilecekleri öğrenme ortamlarında daha etkili bir şekilde öğrenirler. İşbirliğine dayalı öğrenme de öğrencilere bu ortamı sağlayacak öğretim yöntemlerinin arasında önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. İşbirliğine dayalı öğrenme, öğrenenlerin küçük gruplar halinde, birbirlerinin öğrenmelerine yardımcı olmak için birlikte çalıştıkları bir öğretim yöntemidir. Bu çalışmada işbirliğine dayalı öğrenme yöntemlerinden “Öğrenci Takımları Başarı Bölümleri- ÖTBB” tekniği ile ilgili genel bilgilere yer verilmiş ve ÖTBB ile zenginleştirilmiş örnek bir coğrafya ders planı sunulmuştur.
In order for the teaching process to be effective and to make learning permanent, the teacher should determine the most appropriate teaching methods and techniques for the subject and objectives. Traditional teaching methods, which see the student's mind as an empty plate to be filled, and which keep the student in a passive learning environment, have been replaced by more democratic learning environments. Students learn more effectively in learning environments where they can freely express what they think, discuss, listen to each other respectfully, take part in learning-teaching activities more efficiently, and help each other learn, rather than competing. Cooperative learning also is one of the teaching methods that will provide students with this environment. Cooperative learning is a teaching method where learners work together in small groups to help each other learn. In this study, general information about the " Student Teams Achievement Divisions - STAD" technique, one of the cooperative learning methods, is included and an example teaching plan enriched with STAD is presented.
