1990’lı yıllarda turizm alanında Azerbaycan Cumhuriyeti ile Türkiye Cumhuriyeti arasında kurulan işbirliği, 2000’li yıllardan itibaren gelişerek devam etmektedir. Öyle ki, tetkik edilen yıllarda Azerbaycan’da turizm alanında devlet politikasını gerçekleştiren bakanlıklar ve diğer kurumlar tarafından mevcut turizm potensiyalinin uluslararsı alanda tanınması, turistlerin Azerbaycan’a sürekli gelişinin temin edilmesi, turizm hizmet alanının çeşitlendirilmesi, yasal zemin oluşturulması için gerekenlerin yapılması, turizm sektöründe Kobilerin desteklenmesi ve sayıca yeterliliğinin sağlanılması, turizm sektörünün modern donatımla techizinin oluşturulması yönünde kapsamlı işler görülmüştür. Aynı dönemde iki ülkenin katkısıyla turizm alanında birçok uluslararası düzeyde organizasyonlar yapılmış ve uluslararası yol haritası belirlenmiştir. Bunun sonucunda da her iki ülke bu işten karşılıklı fayda sağlamıştır.
The cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey in tourism in the 1990s continues to develop since the 2000s. Thus, in the inspected years, the recognition of the existing tourism potential in the international scope by ministries and other institutions implementing the state policy in the tourism sector in Azerbaijan, the continued arrival of tourists to Azerbaijan, the diversification of the tourism service area, the making of what is necessary for the creation of the legal ground, the support of the Kobiler in the tourism sector and the assurance of numerous qualifications, the creation of the technology of the modern equipment of the tourism sector has been seen. During the same period, with the contribution of the two countries, many international organizations in the tourism field have been made and the international road map has been determined. As a result, both countries have mutually benefited from this work.
