Yaşlılık dönemilsüreci insanoğlunun, hayat merdiveninde yol aldığı ve ondan sonrasının ölüm olduğu son basamaktır. Dinin tebliğeisi ve uygulayıcısı konumunda olan Hz. Peygamber'in yaşlılarla olan ilişkisi ve örnekliğinin günümüz insanına olumlu mesaj verme açısından fevkalade önemli olduğu kanaatindeyiz. Bu çalışmada Hz. Peygamber'in yaşlılarla olan diyalogu, yaşlılık olgusuna bakışı, yaşlılarla olan ilişkilerde nelere dikkat edileceği, hadislerde yaşlllara verilen değerin önemi üzerinde durulmaktadır. Ayrıca huzurevlerinin gerekliliği/ıslahı ve alternatif kurumların tesisi üzerinde de dikkat çekilmektedir.
