Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nın önemli cephelerinden biri olan Çanakkale Cephesi Türk ve dünya tarihi açısından oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Batı literatüründe Gallipoli olarak geçen bu coğrafya, hem Türkler hem de Gelibolu’ya gelerek savaşmak mecburiyetinde kalan diğer birlikler açısından ortak bir olguya dönüşmüş tarihi bir mekândır. 6 farklı ülkeye ait pullar üzerinden kurgulanan bu araştırmada, toplam 24 adet posta pulu kullanılmıştır. Bu pulların 10’u Yeni Zelanda, 1’i İngiltere, 2’si İrlanda, 1’i Norfolk Adası, 9’u Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, 1’i ise Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti tarafından tedavül edilen pullardan oluşmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı Çanakkale Savaşları’nın 100. Yılı anısına yayınlanan posta pulları üzerinden görsel bir değerlendirmede bulunmaya çalışmaktır. Gelibolu Yarımadası’nda yaşanan savaşları konu alan çalışmaların kayda değer bir kısmı, teorik bilgiler içermektedir. Görseller üzerinden bilgilendirmede bulunan çalışmalar ise mevcut araştırmaların ancak sınırlı bir kısmını oluşturmaktadır. Teorik bilgilerin yanı sıra görsel bilgilendirmeyi de esas alan bu çalışma, hem göstergebilimsel çözümleme teknikleri üzerinden incelemede bulunmakta hem de literatüre farklı bir boyut kazandırmaya çalışmaktadır. Araştırma sonunda, Çanakkale Savaşları konulu yeni bir pul setinin yayınlanması önerisinde bulunulmuştur.
Dardanelles Front, one of the important fronts of World War I, has a very important place in Turkish and world history. This geography, which is referred to as Gallipoli in the Western literature, is a historical place that has become a common phenomenon for both the Turks and the other troops who had to come to Gallipoli to fight. A total of 24 stamp objects were used in this research, which was constructed on stamps belonging to 6 different countries. Of these stamps, 10 are made up of New Zealand, 1 England, 2 Ireland, 1 Norfolk Island, 9 Turkish Republic, 1 Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The purpose of this research; It is to try to make a visual evaluation on the stamps published to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Dardanelles War. A significant part of the studies on the wars in the Gallipoli Peninsula contains theoretical information. Studies that provide information through visuals are only a limited part of existing research. This study, which is based on visual information as well as theoretical information, both examines through semiotic analysis techniques and tries to add a different dimension to the literature. At the end of the research, a proposal was made to publish a new stamp set about the Dardanelles Wars
