Abstract:

In our teacher training system, the teaching practice course, which is carried out prior to service and gives experience to the teacher candidates, has an important position. A teacher candidate needs to form the learning process so that he can be an effective and successful teacher in his professional life, preparing events with appropriate learning approaches. In this context, this study aims to study the activities preparation and application processes within the scope of the teaching practice of class teachers candidates. In the framework of this purpose, one of the quality research methods in the research has been used the case study method. The research study group consists of 8 (5 women, 3 men) teachers candidates who conduct the teaching practice course in a primary school in the centre of the province of Çanakkale, which studied in the fourth class of the University of Çanakkale Eighteen Class Teaching Bachelor Program in the 2018-2019 academic year. In the study conducted using the case study method from the quality research patterns, the activities that the teacher candidates have prepared have been studied by the document analysis method. In addition, it has been revealed through semi-configured observations how and how the teachers candidates are applied by the activities they have prepared. The class teacher's candidates used the visual analysis method in the analysis of the activities plans they have prepared. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained from the study, it was found that teaching candidates mostly did not include the information in the method-technical, tool-tools and measurement-evaluation sections of the activity, did not have sufficient knowledge and equipment in the application and did not demonstrate important behaviors towards the core elements of the learning-learning process while effectively implementing.
