Bu araştırmanın amacı ilkokul ve ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin mobbing (yıldırma) yaşamaya ilişkin algılarını incelemektir. Araştırmada, ilkokul ve ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin mobbing (yıldırma) yaşama algıları, cinsiyet, medeni hal, görev yaptıkları eğitim kurumu ve kıdem değişkenlerine anlamlı bir farkın olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2016-2017 öğretim yılında Diyarbakır İli Silvan ilçe merkezinde bulunan 11 ilkokul (199 sınıf öğretmeni) ve 13 ortaokulda (269 branş öğretmeni) görev yapan toplam 468 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada örneklem alma yoluna gidilmemiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Einarsen ve Raknes’in (1997) geliştirdiği [Negative Acts Questionnaire (NAQ)] ve Cemaloğlu (2007) Türkçe’ye uyarladığı “Olumsuz Davranış Soruları Ölçeğinden” yararlanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesi SPSS 21 istatistik paket programında yapılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgilerinde frekans ve yüzde kullanılmış, öğretmen görüşleri arasındaki anlamlı farkın saptanmasında ise t-testi ve Anova testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma hipotezleri.05 anlamlılık düzeyinde test edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, ilkokul ve ortaokul öğretmenlerinin algılarına göre, öğretmenler mobbing'in (yıldırmanın) görev ve sosyal ilişkiler alt boyutundaki davranışlara maruz kalma sıklığı “düşük düzeyde” olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmenlerin maruz kaldıkları yıldırma davranışlarına cinsiyet, medeni hal, görev yapılan eğitim kademesi ve kıdem değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
