Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the positive psychological capital of healthcare staff and the emotional work behavior. It is also to reveal whether there is a meaningful relationship between demographic variables and emotional labour and the subdimensions of positive psychological capital. The research was carried out with 520 medical staff working in the Tokat province and district state hospitals. Cronbach Alfa reliability analysis has been applied to test the reliability of survey questions. The structural equality model (YEM) has been applied to study the relationship between positive psychological capital and emotional work. The path analysis technique has studied the impact of the subdimensions of positive psychological capital on the subdimensions of emotional labour. According to the results of the YEM, there is a bilateral relationship between emotional work and positive psychological capital. According to the road analysis findings, the level of optimism increases, the level of deep behaviors and intimate behaviors increases; the level of superficial behaviors decreases. In addition, the level of endurance increases, the level of deep behaviors and intimate behaviors also increases.

Abstract:

In addition, it is aimed to determine whether there is a significant relationship between demographic variables and emotional labor and positive psychological capital sub-dimensions. The study was carried out with 520 health personnel working in Tokat provincial and district state hospitals. Cronbach Alpha reliability analysis was applied to test the reliability of the questionnaire questions. Structural Equation Model (SEM) was applied to examine the relationship between positive psychological capital and emotional labor. Finally, the effect of the sub-dimensions of positive psychological capital on the emotional labor sub-dimensions was examined with the path analysis technique. According to SEM results; there was a two-way relationship between emotional labor and positive psychological capital. According to the results of the path analysis, deep act and genuine act increase as the level of optimism increases; the level of surface act decreases. In addition, as the level of resilience increases, the level of deep and genuine act increases.
