Abstract:

The first experiments in the field of radio science in Turkey began in the 1920s, professionally transmitted to radio broadcasting in 1927. The first radio broadcast was made not by the government, but by an anonymous company founded with the government’s support. The Turkish Radio Telephone Anonymous Company was founded on January 6, 1926, with the permit to broadcast radio for 10 years in Turkey. One of the company’s most important partners is the Anadolu Agency (AA), which was founded in 1920 by Gazi Mustafa Kemal (Atatürk) and made an Anonymous Company in 1925. Initially, the chairman and deputy chairman of the Turkish Radio Telephone AŞ are also members of the Board of Directors of the Anadolu Agency. In the third year of the company, the management of both institutions has changed, taking the place of the active relationship in the beginning a more distant position. For two years, the relationship that continued to decline due to the financial problems of both institutions, then became completely passive. However, the news service that has existed since the beginning of AA has continued uninterrupted, even more advanced after the company, so this service has been called radio newsletters "Ajans". The Anadolu Agency in Turkey has launched a new radio initiative called Radio Anadolu, but this experience has not been successful due to material problems. However, the Agency has continued its contribution to the Turkish radio with the application of the special news bulletin to the radio. This article was prepared by scanning the Anatolian Agency Board Decisions, the Presidential Archive and periodic press and reviewing scientific studies on the subject. Thus, the agency's contribution to the Turkish radio broadcasts was mainly transmitted through first-hand sources.
