in terms of learners and teachers the most difficulty size of Turkish education as a foreign language is teaching proverbs. Because proverbs have formed by considering the experiences of the community, often occured by using the words apart from the primary meanings, are cultural and verbal accumulations which expressed by less words and much matter. Proverb is one of the basic language structure that combines the culture with the native language. Proverbs largely create oral cultural heritage of the Turkish and known for facilitating communication in public memory by saying under certain circumstances. Teaching Material that using for teaching proverbs must be selected literary Works which contains pure language and will catch students attention . Mehmet Akif Ersoy also has an important place among the materials. Because Safahat work which collects Ersoys poems is a special work at text context that we can offer the students for using proverbs when and which environments. In this study firstly proverbs, which mentioned in Safahat, have been determined, then which they are used in level of B1, B2 and C1, C2 specific activites have been development. With prepared activities it has been aimed that not only teaching of proverbs but also development and cultural transmission of the four basic language skills.
