Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of the quantum learning model on the students' cross-cognitive learning strategies and problem-solving skills in the middle school 7th class math course. The study was conducted with a total of 48 7th-class students studying in A and B classes of a state school associated with Siirt. In the research, the karma method has been used in which quantitative and qualitative research patterns are addressed together. The research’s data collection tool is the problem-solving skills test developed by researchers, the semi-configured conversation form and the “External Learning Strategies Scale” developed by Gürcan (2004). In the analysis of the data, Mann Whitney U-Test and Wilcoxon Signed sequence test, imaging and content analysis methods were used. At the end of the study, the experimental group where the quantum learning model was applied found that students in the cross-cognitive learning strategies and problem-solving skills were significantly higher than students in the control group.
