Spor Yapan ve Yapmayan Ortaokul Öğrencilerinin Saldırganlık Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Yapılan bu çalışmada okul sporlarına katılan ve katılmayan öğrencilerin saldırganlık düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Amasya il merkezinde üç farklı ortaokulda öğrenim gören 600 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Çalışmaya katılan öğrenciler okul sporlarına katılan (n=300) ve katılmayan (n=300) olarak 2 gruba ayrılmıştır. Hitit Üniversitesi Girişimsel Olmayan Araştırmalar Etik Kurulu 01/03/2019 tarihli 2019-103 sayılı kararına göre etik kurul onayı alınmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin sosyodemografik özelliklerine ilişkin bilgiler araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile, saldırganlık düzeylerini ölçmek için Kiper (1984) tarafından geliştirilen Saldırganlık Envanteri kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Ölçeğin faktör yapısının ortaokul öğrencilerinde doğrulanmasını takiben verilerin analizinde normal dağılım analizi çarpıklık ve basıklık analizleri gerçekleştirilerek incelenmiş olup verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Bağımsız örneklemler için T testi, çoklu grup karşılaştırmalarında tek yönlü varyans analizi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına baktığımızda spor yapmayan ortaokul öğrencilerinin yıkıcı saldırganlık ve edilgen saldırganlık düzeyleri spor yapan öğrencilerden istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde yüksek bulunmuştur (p< 0,05). Atılganlık düzeyleri ise spor yapan öğrencilerde anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p< 0,05). Bireysel spor ve takım sporları yapan öğrencilerin saldırganlık düzeyleri arasında anlamlı düzeyde farklılık görülmemiştir (p> 0,05). Öğrencilerin cinsiyet puanlarına baktığımızda erkek öğrencilerin yıkıcı ve edilgen saldırganlık düzeylerinin kız öğrencilerden anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p< 0,05). Kız ve erkek öğrencilerin atılganlık düzeyleri arasında anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılığa rastlanmamıştır (p> 0,05). Sonuç olarak; saldırgan davranışların önlenmesinde sporun önemli unsur olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Abstract:

This study is aimed at studying the levels of aggression of students who participate in school sports and who do not participate in various variables. The research study group formed 600 students who studied in three different secondary schools in the 2018-2019 educational year at the center of the province of Amasya. Students who participate in the study are divided into 2 groups as participating in school sports (n=300) and not participating (n=300). The Ethical Board of the University of Hitit has been approved according to Decision No. 2019-103 of the non-entrepreneurial Research Ethical Board of 01/03/2019. Information about the sociodemographic characteristics of the students participating in the study was obtained using the Personal Information Form created by the researcher, the Aggression Inventory developed by Kiper (1984) to measure levels of aggression. Following the verification of the factor structure of the measurement in high school students, the normal distribution analysis of the data in the analysis was studied by conducting confusion and pressure analysis and the data was found to show normal distribution. For independent samples, the T test used one-way variance analysis methods in multi-group comparisons. When we look at the research findings, the levels of devastating aggression and aggression of non-sport high school students were statistically significantly higher than those of sports students (p< 0,05). The level of athletics has been found to be significantly higher in students who do sports (p< 0,05). There is no significant difference between the levels of aggression of students who do individual and team sports (p> 0.05). When we look at the students’ gender scores, it has been found that the levels of male students’ devastating and violent aggression are significantly higher than the girls students (p< 0.05). There was no significant difference between the levels of disadvantage of girls and boys students (p> 0.05). As a result, it is considered to be an important element of sport in the prevention of aggressive behaviors.

In this study, it was aimed to examine the aggression levels of students who participated in and did not participate in school sports in terms of various variables. The study group of the research consisted of 600 students studying in three different secondary schools in the city center of Amasya. The students participating in the study were divided into 2 groups as participating (n=300) and not participating (n=300) school sports. According to the decision of Hitit University Non-Interventional Research Ethics Committee dated 01/03/2019 and numbered 2019-103, ethics committee approval was obtained. Information about the sociodemographic characteristics of the students participating in the study was obtained by using the Personal Information Form and the Aggression Inventory developed by Kiper (1984) to measure their aggression levels. Data showed a normal distribution. T test for independent samples and one-way analysis of variance in multiple group comparisons were used. When we look at the research findings, the destructive aggression and passive aggression levels of middle school students who don’t do sports were found to be statistically significantly higher than those who do sports (p<0,05). It was found that the assertiveness levels of individuals who do sports are significantly higher than those who do not do sports (p<0,05). When we look at the gender scores of the students, the destructive and passive aggression levels of the male students were found to be significantly higher than that of the female students (p<0,05). As a result, sports are thought to be an important factor in preventing aggressive behavior.
