Angiomyolipomas of the kidney are benign lesions composed of abnormal thick-walled blood vessels, smooth muscle cells and mature adipocytes. It may be asymptomatic; or may present with flank pain, mass, gross hematuria and massive hemorrhage. The risk of bleeding is increased with size and hormonal situations such as pregnancy. In this study, we report a case of renal angiomyolipoma in a 32-year-old woman who presented to the emergency department with flank pain aggravated 2 days after a caesarean section.
