Abstract:

This study was designed to be a descriptive case study in which form teachers’ views regarding process orientedmeasurement and evaluation methods were to be identified. The only situation that was dealt with in this study involved the teachers’ opinions about process orientedmeasurement and evaluation methods. Each of the teachers whose perceptions concerning the said approach were identified in the study was taken as a unit of analysis.20 form teachers working at 8 different primary schools located in Konya provincial capital in the 2015-2016 academic year participated in the study. The easy accessibility sampling method was used to determine the working group of the study.In the study, “semi-structured interview form” was used to determine the teachers’ views concerning process orientedmeasurement and evaluation methods.t turned out from the study that the reasons for the problems encountered with regard to process orientedmeasurement and evaluation methods were inadequate class hours, large classroom sizes, homework being done by parents, inadequacy of the classroom tools and materials, the increased workload it puts on teachers and the existing examination system. The teachers insisted that improvements be made in this regard
