Abstract:

In this study, the attitudes of music teacher candidates towards the teaching profession were studied based on the demographic characteristics and the reasons why teachers prefer the self-quality and teaching profession. The research group mainly includes the University of Adnan Menderes, Pamukkale University, Nine September University and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Bachelor 1,2,3 and 4. The class consists of 323 students. In the study, the attitudes of the music teacher candidates to the teaching profession have been developed by Tufan and Güdek (2008) with the "Square of attitude towards the music teaching profession", the teachers' self-qualifications have been developed by Tschannen-Moran and Woolfolk Hoy (2001) to Turkish by Çapa, Çakıroğlu and Sarıkaya (2008) translated by the "Square of teaching self-qualification" and the preferences of the teaching profession have been developed by the "Square of preference of the teaching profession" with the "Square of preference of the teaching profession" developed by the "Square of preference of the teaching profession" (2006). The research finds that the factors that best explain the attitudes of the music teacher candidates towards the teaching profession are the sub-dimensions of the career preference inventory, "consciousness" and "confidence".
