Abstract:

COVID-19 has caused significant changes in the country’s economic and financial indicators. The study is a study showing the accumulation of OECD countries, under the influence of various macroeconomic variables in the pre-COVID-19 and COVID-19 periods. The study was conducted by the OECD founding members. The study includes the country’s inflation rates, unemployment rates, dollar rates, interest rates, stock exchanges and exports’ import satisfaction rates.  In the framework of the study, the period 2017-2020 was taken into account. The process covering the period 2017-2019 was considered the first eight-month period of the year 2020, which was the pre-epidemic and the day on which the pandemic began and the day on which the study began, and the first eight-month period of the year 2020 was considered the epidemic period. The optimization algorithm has been used. The level of significance between the accumulation results was studied with the help of statistical tests.
According to the findings, in the period before COVID-19, there were four groups. First of all, Greece and Spain were joined together. The second group included the United States, Britain, France, Sweden, Italy, Iceland, Canada, Luxembourg and Portugal. In the third group, Turkey was alone and separated from other countries. The last set included Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland and Norway. According to the survey, Belgium and Luxembourg are in the first place, while Spain and Greece are in the second place. The accumulation of Greece in Spain is the same both in the pre-pandemic period and in the pandemic period. The third group is Iceland and Turkey, while the last group consists of 14 other countries.
