Bu nicel çalışmanın amacı, İstanbul’da bulunan bir devlet üniversitesinin eğitim fakültesinde eğitim gören öğretmen adaylarının epistemolojik inançları ve üstbiliş farkındalıklarını cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve okudukları bölüm açısından karşılaştırmaktır. Çalışmada nicel araştırma desenlerinden tarama araştırması kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın örneklemi seçkisiz olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden amaçsal örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Çalışmaya Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği, Matematik Öğretmenliği, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği, Üstün Zekâlılar Öğretmenliği, Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Öğretmenliği bölümlerinden toplam 790 öğretmen adayı gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak demografik anket, Epistemolojik İnançlar Ölçeği ve Bilişötesi Farkındalık Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda öğretmen adaylarının Bilişötesi Farkındalık Envanteri ve Epistemolojik İnançlar Ölçeği toplam puanları arasında istatistiksel anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Bilişötesi Farkındalık Envanteri; üstbilişsel bilgi ve üstbilişin düzenlenmesi alt boyutları ile toplam puan bazında kız öğrenciler lehine anlamlı olarak farklılaşmıştır. Bilişötesi Farkındalık Envanteri’nin üstbilişin düzenlenmesi alt boyutu ve toplam puanları, Epistemolojik İnanç Ölçeği’nin ise bilginin gerekçelendirilmesi alt boyutunun bölüm değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Bilişötesi Farkındalık Envanteri alt boyutlar ve toplam puan bazında sınıf değişkenine göre istatistiksel anlamlı farklılık göstermezken; Epistemolojik İnanç Ölçeği’nin bilginin gerekçelendirilmesi alt boyutunun 2. ve 3. sınıflar arasında 2. sınıflar lehine, bilginin kaynağı/ değişmezliği alt boyutunun ise 2. ve 4. sınıflar arasında 4. sınıflar lehine anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür.
The aim of this quantitative study is to compare the epistemological beliefs and supernova awareness of teachers who are trained at the educational faculty of a state university located in Istanbul from the point of view of gender, class level and the section they study. In the study, scan research models were used. The sample of this study is determined by the purpose sample method of non-selective sample methods. A total of 790 teachers from the Science Information Teaching, Mathematics Teaching, Social Information Teaching, Higher Intelligence Teaching, Class Teaching, Computer and Teaching Technologies Teaching departments participated in the study voluntarily. As a data collection tool, the demographic survey, the Epistemological Faith Scale and the Intellectual Awareness Reserve were used. At the end of the study, there was no statistically meaningful relationship between the subconscious awareness inventory and the epistemological scale of beliefs. Under-scientific Awareness Inventory does not show statistically significant differences according to class variable in the subdimensions and the total score basis; the reasoning of the knowledge of the Epistemological Faith Dimension has shown that the knowledge of the subdimensions between the 2nd and the 3rd classes is in favour of the 2nd classes, and the source of the knowledge/immutability subdimensions between the 2nd and the 4th classes are in favour of the 4th classes.
