Amaç – Bu araştırmanın amacı Ankara merkezli bir özel hastane grubunun ve Türkiye’deki özel hastane sektörünün finansal yapısının Dupont modeli ile incelenerek karlılık oranlarının karşılaştırılması ve hastane grubunun finansal durumunun ortaya konulmasıdır. Yöntem – Bu çalışmada, Ankara merkezli bir özel hastane grubunun ve Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren özel hastane işletmeleri sektörünün finansal performansı, 2010 ile 2020 yılları arasındaki bilanço ve gelir tabloları kullanılarak, DuPont modeli ile analiz edilmiş ve birbiri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırmada özel hastane işletmelerinin yayınladığı finansal raporlardan elde edilen ikincil veriler kullanılmış ve nicel araştırma modelinden yararlanılmıştır. İlgili finansal tablolardan elde edilen veriler ile DuPont modelinin öngördüğü hesaplamalar yapılmış hem özel hastane grubunun hem de Türkiye özel hastane sektörünün karlılık oranları hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular – Araştırmada, özel hastane grubunun karlılık oranlarının 2013 yılı dışında pozitif olduğu ve kar elde edildiği, Türkiye özel hastane sektörünün karlılık oranlarının ise 2011, 2014, 2016 ve 2018 yılları dışında pozitif olduğu ve kar elde edildiği görülmüştür. Tartışma – Hastaneler grubunun DuPont modeli ile hesaplanan karlılık oranlarının 2013 yılında Türkiye ortalamasından daha düşük bir düzeyde olduğu, inceleme kapsamındaki diğer yıllarda ise daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Genel olarak özel hastane grubunun Türkiye ortalamasından daha yüksek düzeyde karlılık oranlarına sahip olduğu ve daha iyi bir finansal performans ortaya koyduğu söylenebilir.
The purpose of this research is to compare the profitability rates by examining the financial structure of an Ankara-based private hospital group and the private hospital sector in Turkey with the Dupont model and to reveal the financial status of the hospital group. Method - In this study, the financial performance of an Ankara-based private hospital group and the private hospital enterprises operating in Turkey, using the balance sheets and income tables between 2010 and 2020, was analyzed with the DuPont model and compared with each other. The secondary data obtained from the financial reports published by private hospital companies in the research was used and the quantitative research model was used. The data obtained from the relevant financial statements and the calculations provided by the DuPont model have been calculated both the profitability rates of the private hospital group and the Turkish private hospital sector. The research found that the profit rate of the private hospital group was positive outside of 2013 and that the profit rate of the private hospital sector was positive outside of 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2018 and that the profit rate of the private hospital sector was positive outside of 2013. The profit rate calculated by the DuPont model of the Hospitals group was lower than the average in Turkey in 2013 and higher in other years under the survey. In general, it can be said that the private hospital group has a higher rate of profitability than the average in Turkey and has a better financial performance.
