Abstract:

This article provides information about Ausubel's meaningful learning theory and basic principles. The teaching process takes place through the classes in which the teaching is applied. In other words, teaching through presentation is the teaching strategy of Ausubel's theory. Therefore, the study is thoroughly examined through the presentation of the teaching, the criteria of application and the stages to be followed in this strategy; it focuses on the usefulness, effectiveness and limitations of the strategy. Furthermore, the contribution of teaching through the presentation to the teaching process is discussed in the light of the researchers’ explanations; in the end, some general recommendations are also presented to teachers who will use this approach.
