Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the life satisfaction of university students and death concerns. The study also studied the impact of gender, losing a close and experiencing an experience closer to death on death anxiety. The study group consists of a total of 348 university students, including 261 women and 87 men, achieved by the appropriate sampling method. The data is collected using the Death Anxiety Scale, the Life Doyle Scale and the personal information form. The results of the analysis found that there was a meaningful relationship between life satisfaction and death fear in a negative direction. It is found that life-satisfaction affects about 3% of the total variance of death fear. Death fear is significantly different from gender, and is higher in women than in men. It appears that there is no meaningful difference between the fear of death of individuals who lose and who don’t lose a close, while the same experience that approaches death has found that there is no meaningful difference between the fear of death of those who live and those who don’t live.
