Abstract:

The aim of this research is to explore the impact of educational digital game design on the creativity of teachers candidates. The research is designed in a weak experimental research pattern with a pre-test-final test control group. Working group in Turkey has been determined to be a trial group of 14 students who are volunteers among the students who are studying in a state university education faculty in the classroom teaching mathematics teaching course and 11 students are also a control group. In the experimental group of the study, for a period of 14 weeks, each teacher candidate was asked to design an educational digital game to teach mathematics every week. In the control group, the mathematics teaching course has been processed according to the content of the course. As a data collection tool in the research, Torrance’s Creative Thought Test (TYDT) has been used as a verbal form-form form form A. Tests were applied before and after the experimental application to the test and control groups. Imaginary analysis of the data, pre-test and final test scores according to the group U-test results and pre-application test and control group TYDT sub-dimensional scores have been made wilcoxon-marked order tests. The findings show that the teacher candidates in the experiment group have a significant difference between the pre- and post-examination points they receive from all the TYDT subdimensions. On the other hand, when considering the results of the final test points according to the group, verbal flexibility, verbal originality and verbal total and formal total subdimensions showed significant differences according to the group of sequence average.
