Abstract:

The objective of this research is to study the behavior of social competence of children who continue to pre-school education institutions in the 2017-2018 academic year. In the study, a visual scan model was used. The sample of the study consisted of 521 children identified using the layer sample method. The study used the Social Capacity and Behavior Assessment-30 scale to determine the behavior of social capability of children who continue to work in pre-school education institutions. In the analysis of the research data, visual statistics and differential analysis were used. The study found that children who go to pre-school educational institutions often show their behavior of social capacity, and their behavior of anxiety and anger-aggressive behavior almost never. The conclusion was that the social capacity ratings of girls were higher than the boys, the social capacity behavior of children increased as the educational level of parents increased, the number of brothers increased as the anxiety behavior of children increased, but the social capacity behavior of children, anxiety behavior, and anger-aggressive behavior did not differ significantly according to the age and family income levels. Teachers may be advised to identify children who often show problem behavior and take more frequently place in activities that will positively affect their social development.
