Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to identify the opinions of class teachers candidates on virtual museum practices. The study group consists of 41 students studying in the fourth grade of the Giresun University class teaching department. The data was collected with an open-end survey developed by researchers during the 2017-2018 academic year, and analyzed with the content analysis technique. Research findings have shown that many class teacher candidates do not have experience of learning with real or virtual museums throughout their bachelor studies. Nevertheless, candidates see the education with the virtual museum in their bachelor's studies as necessary in terms of professional qualification. They also believe that virtual museum applications in primary school education are useful for students. Based on the research results, it is recommended that the various courses taught in the classroom teaching bachelor's program be associated with the virtual museum practices.
