Abstract:

Insitional sputum is a complication that is often encountered after abdominal surgery and requires re-chirurgical repair. We aimed at reverse evaluation of patients performed with open and laparoscopic ventral insured hernial repair (LVHR) with Dual Mesh. The age, gender, body mass index, localization and size of patients who have been applied to our clinic between December 2008 and February 2015 and who have been diagnosed with ventral insured sputum and repaid with open or laparascopic Dual Mesh were obtained and evaluated, the location and size of the sputum, the surgical procedure (open/laparascopic), other surgical pathologies accompanied, the duration of hospital stay, mortality and morbidity rates. In total, 15 of the 28 patients were female and 13 men. The average age was 57.78±12.39 years (38-78) 12 of the patients undergoing surgery for the repair of the Ventral injectional hernia, the remaining 16 were laparascopically openly operated. The fist size was an average of 12.0±2.6 (5-32) cm. The duration of stay in the hospital is an average of 5.75±5.25 (1-21) days. In both groups, there was no other complication except seroma in both patients and in one patient under insection. With Dual Mesh, LVHR is an effective and reliable treatment option due to fewer hospitalization and fewer morbidity compared to open surgery in detected cases.
