Abstract:

All areas of development are important in the pre-school period; but social development is critical. In this context, the study, which aims to determine the perceptions of the rules of the children in the pre-school period, used the method of study of the situation from the quality research patterns. The study group of this study consists of 235 children aged 48-72 months of age who are ongoing to their independent maternal schools connected to the MEB, located in the center of a province of the Inner Anadolu Region. A semi-configured interview was conducted in order to determine the perceptions of children in the pre-school period about the rules. “What do you think is the rule?” Do you tell the rules you know?“Who puts the rules?” And “Why are the runs?” Questions are asked. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis from quality research methods. The research found that the children’s answers to what the rule is were gathered in six categories, including home, school, health, safety, rules relating to interpersonal communication and others. “Who puts the rules?” The majority of the children who participated in the survey gave the "mother" answer. The children who participated in the study gave their answers among the reasons why the rules were placed most for me, for the other, and for the cleaning of the house.
