Abstract:

Academic research, policymakers, and industry representatives have expressed that the post-secondary vocational schools in Turkey cannot adequately fulfill their missions and work efficiently, and also they have problems in gaining the skills needed by the sector to graduates. To solve these problems, improve their efficiency and quality and strengthen their relations with the sector, many regulations have been made in recent years by the relevant supreme institutions. However, self-assessment of employees of their schools from inside, who are responsible for carrying out the mission of their schools, will shed light on all parties in understanding and identifying their problems and possible solutions for them. This study tries to investigate how the regulations made for qualitative improvement in the post-secondary vocational schools have affected the general and institutional performance of these schools in recent years.
