Abstract:

Afazis is an acquired language and speech disorder that occurs as a result of damage or injury in the brain, which leads to a disturbance or complete loss of understanding and production of speech. A variety of tests have been developed to determine whether the patient with a brain injury is affasic and if affasic, which type of affasic is seen. The social and cultural aspect of the language to apply different tests for different language speakers is a requirement due to the specific typological differences of each language. As the tests translated from different languages to Turkish will be difficult to match the social and cultural aspect of the language, it is believed that the test will not be likely to give significant results at a high level. The Gulhane Afazi Test, the Afazi Language Assessment Test and the Ege Afazi Language Test are three original Afazi Tests that have been standardized in Turkey. The aim of the study is to ensure the equality by determining the similarities and differences between these three afazi tests produced for the Turkish language.
