Yıllardan beri birbirine kapalı duran, birbirini görmeden duymayan yaşayan kardeşlerin birbirinden haberdar olmasıyla beraber Türk topraklarında yaşayan kavimler tanışmaya ve kucaklaşmaya başlamıştır. Çeşitli alanlarda devam eden bu kucaklaşma sözlük çalışmalarıyla da devam etmiştir. Türkiye Türkolojisinde ilk dönem Türk lehçeleri sözlükçülük çalışmaları Hüseyin Kazım Kadri’nin “Büyük Türk Lügati” ile başlamıştır. İlk dönem Türk lehçeleri sözlük çalışmaları 1940’lı yıllara kadar Türkiye dışında hazırlanan sözlüklerin çevirisi şeklinde yapılmıştır. 1980’li yıllardan itibaren yeniden canlanmaya başlayan bu alanın ilk meyvesi Hayati Develi’nin “Azeri Türkçesi Lügati” adlı tez çalışmasıdır. Bu sözlük Güney-Batı (Oğuz) Grubu Türk Lehçelerinden olan Azerbaycan Türkçesiyle ilgili Türkiye’de yapılan ilk sözlük çalışmasıdır. Sözlüklerin içinde ne kadar kelime olduğu sözlüklerin değerlendirilmesi açısından son derece önemlidir. Bir dilin kelime hazinesi sözlüğündeki kelimelerin sayısıyla değerlendirilmektedir. Biz de bundan yola çıkarak Türk lehçeleri üzerine yazılmış sözlüklerin söz varlığını araştırma yoluna gittik. Bu çalışmamızda Azerbaycan Türkçesi üzerine yazılmış sözlüklerin kelime sayıları sayılacak, özellikleri ortaya koyulacak ve sözlüklerin tanıtımları yapılacaktır.

Tribes living on the Turkish lands have begun to meet and embrace, as the siblings that have been closed for years and who have lived without seeing each other have become aware of each other. This embrace continued in various fields and continued with dictionary studies The first period Turkish dialect studies in Turkish Turkology started with Hüseyin Kazim Kadri's "Great Turkish Dictionary". First term Turkish dialect dictionary studies were made in the form of dialect of the dictionaries prepared outside of Turkey until 1940's. The first fruit of this field which started to revive since 1980's is Hayati Develi's thesis work entitled "Azerbaijani Turkish Dictionary". This dictionary is the first dictionary work done in Turkey regarding Azerbaijani Turkic which is one of the Turkish dialects of South-West (Oghuz) Group. The number of the words in a dictionary is extremely important in terms of the evaluation of the dictionary. A language is assessed by the number of words in the vocabulary dictionary. Starting from this point we research the vocabulary of the dictionaries on Turkish dialects. In this study, the words of Azerbaijani Turkish will be counted, their characteristics will be revealed and the dictionaries will be introduced.
