Abstract:

Rapid changes in the field of information tecnologies have made the data easier and cheaper accesible, have become one of the important reasons providing a basis where financial markets and financial products are becoming increasingly complex. Today beign financial literate in complex global financial competition; that is making informed decisions about usage and management of personel funds resources is important at the same time has relation to knowledgeable basic financial concepts. Also in this study Osmaniye citizens’ basic financial literacy level was surveyed in terms of some demographic variables and was compared to Turkey’s results. In the research OECD’s core questionnaire was used which was carried out in different countries for measuring financial literacy in basic level.
