Bu çalışmanın amacı, Caplan (2010) tarafından geliştirilen Genelleştirilmiş Problemli İnternet Kullanımı Ölçeği 2 (GPİKÖ2)’nin Türkçe formunun dil eşdeğerliğinin, geçerliliğinin ve güvenirliğinin incelenmesidir. Ölçek, Maltepe Üniversitesi ve Marmara Üniversitesinde farklı programlara devam eden 388 öğrenciden oluşan çalışma grubuna uygulanmıştır. GPİKÖ2’nin İngilizce ve Türkçe formu arasındaki tutarlığını incelemek için yapılan Pearson korelasyon katsayıları sonucunda pozitif ve anlamlı değerlere ulaşılmıştır. Orijinali 5 faktörlü bir yapı içeren ölçek yapı geçerliliğini saptamak için yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda 4 temel boyut altında toplanmıştır. Orijinal ölçekte “Bilişsel meşguliyet” ve “Zorunlu internet kullanımı” olarak yer alan iki faktör maddeleri değişmeden tek bir faktör altında toplanmış ve alt ölçek “Öz denetim yoksunluğu” olarak adlandırılmıştır. Ölçeğin bütününün iç tutarlılığı hesaplandığında Cronbach Alpha değeri .89 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuçlar ölçeğin Türkçe formu
The aim of this study is to study the language equality, validity and reliability of the Turkish form of the Generalized Problem Internet Use Scale 2 (GPIKÖ2) developed by Caplan (2010) . The scale has been applied to a study group of 388 students on the University of Maltepe and the University of Marmara who are on a different programme. The Pearson correlation ratings for the study of the consistency between the English and Turkish forms of GPIKÖ2 have achieved positive and meaningful values. The analysis of the factor to determine the validity of the scale structure containing an original 5 factor structure was collected under 4 basic dimensions. The two factors included in the original scale as "Cognitive Occupation" and "Obligatory Internet Use" were unchanged under a single factor and the lower scale was called "Self-control absence". This study was designed to investigate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 (GPIUS2), which was developed by Caplan (2010). The scale was applied to 388 students at Maltepe University and Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey. Pearson's correlation between Turkish and English versions of the scale indicated acceptable reliability. The original scale was formed of five sub-scales. The results of factor analysis for construct validity of the scale addressed four dimensional constructs with 15 items. The items of “Cognitive preoccupation” and “Compulsive internet use” sub-scales of the original scale were summed under one sub-scale named as “self control deficiency”. Cronbach Alpha internal consistency reliability was found .89 for the total of GPIUS2. The results were indicated that Turkish Version of GPIUS2 is a valid and reliable scale.
