Sözlük, bir dilin kelime, deyim ve terimlerini tanımlayan; sözlerin dil bilgisindeki yerlerini bütün incelikleriyle veren; kullanım örneklerini sunan; kısacası dilin söz varlığını derli toplu bir araya getiren kaynak niteliğinde bir eserdir. Sözlükler baştan sona okunan yapıtlar olmamakla birlikte, dille birlikte gelen toplumsal değerleri kuşaktan kuşağa aktarmak gibi kültürel ve toplumsal bir görevi de yerine getirmektedir. Her dilin konu ve yöntemlerine göre çeşitli sözlükleri bulunmaktadır. Türk Dilinde de ilk sözlük olan Divanü Lügat’t-Türk’ten itibaren çeşitli saha, dönem ve lehçelere ait sözlükler yazılmıştır. Biz bu çalışmayla Türkçenin sözlüklerini konu ve yöntemlerine göre genel sözlükler, iki dilli sözlükler, dönem sözlükleri, dialektoloji sözlükleri, etimoloji sözlükleri, osmanlıca sözlükler olarak sınıflandırıp bunları tanıtmayı amaçladık. Genel sözlükler kısmında Şemseddin Sami’nin Türk dilinin tarihi lehçelerini üzerine sahip olduğu bilgiyi ortaya koyduğu Kâmûs-ı Türkî’si, İsmail Parlatır ve diğerlerinin hazırladığı Türkçenin sözvarlığının tümünü içermeyi amaçlayan Türkçe sözlük, Ali Püsküllüoğlu tarafından hazırlanan Türkçenin sözvarlığını içerip halk arasındaki sözcüklere ve argoyada uzak kalmayan Türkçe sözlük yer almaktadır. İki dilli sözlükler grubunda Sır James Redhouse’nin Kur’andaki her kelimeyi, İran şairlerinden alıntıları, Arapça-Farsça ve Osmanlıca atasözlerini de içine alan Osmanlı-Arapça-Farsça bir sözlük olan Türkçe-İngilizce Redhause adlı sözlüğü yer almaktadır. Dönem sözlükleri içinde XIII. Yüzyıldan günümüze kadar Anadolu’da yazılmış 227 eserden taranan ve bugün kullanılmayan ya da anlamı farklı olan Türkçe sözleri tanıklarıyla beraber veren Tarama Sözlüğünü, Cem Dilçin tarafından düzenlenen ve Türk Dil Kurumu Yayınları arasında çıkan Yeni Tarama Sözlüğü yer almaktadır. Diyalektoloji Sözlükleri içinde 1932 ile 1960 yılları arasında yurdun çeşitli yerlerinden derlenmiş Türkçe sözleri içne alan derleme sözlüğü yer almaktadır. Etimoloji Sözlükleri bölümünde Hermann Vâmbery, Türk-Tatar Dillerinin Etimoloji Sözlüğü, Bedros Keresteciyan, Mat?rıaux Pour un Dıstıonnaıre Etymologııque De La Langue Turque sözlüğü, Marttı R?s?nen tarafından yazılan Türk Dillerinin Etimoloji Sözlüğü Üzerine Bir Demene başlıklı çalışması, Nasılof-Tenışef-Şerback-Nadalıov’un yazdığı Eski Türkçe Sözlük, Sır Gerard Clauson tarafından yazılan Onüçüncü Yüzyıl Öncesi Türk Dili Etimolojik Sözlüğü ve Vladimiroviç Sevortyan, Türk Dillerinin Etimolojik Sözlüğü ye

Abstract:

The vocabulary is a work of source that defines the words, words and terms of a language; gives the place of words in language knowledge with all the subtles; offers examples of use; shortly, the existence of the word is a source that collects the whole of the language. Although dictionaries are not works that are read from the beginning to the end, they perform a cultural and social task, such as transmitting the social values that come together in the language from generation to generation. Each language has a variety of dictionaries and methods. The first dictionary in the Turkish language, Divanü Lügat't-Türk, has been written dictionaries of various fields, periods and languages. With this study, we aimed to classify Turkish dictionaries as general dictionaries, two-language dictionaries, period dictionaries, dialectological dictionaries, etymological dictionaries, Ottoman dictionaries according to them and to introduce them. In the general dictionaries section, the Turkish dictionary, which aims to include the entire Turkish dictionary of the Turkish language prepared by Ismail Parlatır and others, the Turkish dictionary, which includes the Turkish dictionary prepared by Ali Püsküllüoğlu and the Turkish dictionary, which is not far from the words between the people and the argoya. The two-language dictionary group includes the secret James Redhouse's dictionary, a Ottoman-Arab-Farssian dictionary, which includes every word in the Qur'an, quotes from Iranian poets, and Arab-Farssian and Ottoman speeches. A dictionary is a referential work which defines the words, idioms and terms of a language; it gives every detail of words in grammar; it presents usage samples; briefly it orderly gathers the vocabulary of the language. Dictionaries are not the works are read from beginning to end but they fulfill transferring social values coming with language as a social and cultural duty. Each language has dictionaries according to topic and method. Since the first dictionary Divanü Lügat’t-Türk, dictionaries have been written from the various fields, periods and dialects in Turkish language. In this study we aimed to classify and introduce Turkish dictionaries according to their subjects and methods as general dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, dictionaries of the period, dialectology dictionaries, etymological dictionaries, Ottoman dictionaries. The general dictionaries part includes Şemseddin Sami’s Kâmûs-ı Türkî’s which reveals information on the historical dialects of Turkish language, Turkish dictionary prepared by Ali Parlatır and others which aims to include the whole Turkish vocabulary and Turkish dictionary prepared by Ali Püsküllüoğlu which contains the vocabulary among public and slang. The bilingual dictionaries part includes Sır James Redhouse’s the English-Turkish dictionary named Redhause which contains each word in Qur'an, quotations from Persian poets and proverbs of Arabic-Persian and Ottoman. The era dictionaries part includes Survey Dictionary, which contains the Turkish words delved from 227 written works and the words that are not being used today or have different meanings are given with their witnesses, and The New Survey Dictionary, that edited by Cem Dilçin, which published by Turkish Language Association. Dialectology dictionaries include compiling dictionary which contains compiled Turkish words from various parts of the country between 1932 and 1960. The section of Etymology Dictionaries includes Vâmbery Hermann, Etymology Dictionary of Turkish-Tatar Languages, Bedros Keresteciyan, Mat?rıaux Pour un Dıstıonnaıre Etymologııque De La Langue Turque dictionary, a study written by Martti R?s?nen entitled ‘An Essay on Etymology Dictionary of Turkish Languages’, Old Turkish Dictionary written by Nasılof-Tenışef-Şerback-Nadalıov, Pre-thirteenth Century Turkish Languages Etymological Dictionary written by Sır Gerard Clauson and Vladimirovich Sevortyan, Etymology Dictionary of Turkish Languages.
