Öğretmen Adaylarının Kpss Kaygısı ve Bazı Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

Bu çalışmada, öğretmen adaylarının kamu personeli seçme sınavına yönelik(KPSS) kaygıları ile sosyal destek, özsaygı ve özyeterlik algısı değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkiye bakmak amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Gazi Üniversitesi Gazi Eğitim Fakültesinden eğitim dersleri alan 235 kadın, 66 erkek olmak üzere toplam 301 pedagojik formasyon öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada katılımcıların yaş, cinsiyet, sosyo-ekonomik düzey (SED), aylık gelir, eğitim durumu gibi demografik bilgileri bir kişisel bilgi formu ile alınmıştır. Ayrıca KPSS’ ye kaç kez girdikleri ve kazanıp öğretmen olarak atanma olasılıkları da sorulmuştur. Katılımcıların KPSS kaygılarını belirlemek amacıyla Karaçanta (2009) tarafından geliştirilmiş KPSS Kaygı Ölçeği, algıladıkları sosyal desteği belirlemek amacıyla Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği, Rosenberg Öz Saygı Ölçeği ve Genel Özyeterlik Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada değişkenler korelasyon ve regresyon analizi teknikleri ile karşılaştırılmıştır. KPSS’ye yönelik kaygı değişkeninin demografik değişkenlerle olan ilişkisi incelendiğinde, bu değişkenin sosyo-ekonomik düzey ve atanma olasılığı değişkenleriyle pozitif yönde ve anlamlı ilişki gösterdiği anlaşılmaktadır. Ayrıca katılımcıların ailelerinden aldıkları sosyal destek, arkadaşlarından aldıkları sosyal destek, benlik saygısı ve özyeterlik düzeyleri arttıkça KPSS sınavına yönelik kaygı düzeyleri azalmaktadır. Regresyon analizine ilişkin bulgulara bakıldığında ise sosyo-ekonomik düzey arttıkça KPSS’ye yönelik kaygıyı düzeyinin azaldığı, erkeklerin KPSS’ye yönelik kaygıyı düzeylerinin kadınlarınkinden düşük olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Son olarak arkadaş desteği, özyeterlik ve özsaygı değişkenlerinin KPSS’ye yönelik kaygıyı pozitif yönde yordadığı görülmüştür.

In this study, the purpose is to look for the relationship between the public personnel selection exam (KPSS) concerns of teacher candidates and social support, self-esteem and self-efficacy perception variables. The study population is composed of a total of 301 pedagogical formation program students (235 women, 66 men) attending Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education courses. The demographic information of the participants such as age, gender, socio-economic status (SES), monthly income and education level have been obtained by a personal information form. How many times they participated in KPSS exam and if they achieved and had the chance to be appointed as a teacher has also been asked. In order to determine KPSS concerns of the participants KPSS anxiety scale developed by Karaçanta (2009) has been used whereas Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale and Rosenberg Self-Esteem and General Self-Efficacy Scale have been used in order to determine their perceived social support. Variables have been compared by using correlation and regression analysis techniques. When the anxiety variable towards KPSS has been examined it has been seen that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between this variable and socio-economic level and appointment possibility variables. In addition, as the social support the participants receive from their parents and friends, self-esteem and self-efficacy levels increase, their anxiety levels towards KPSS decreases. Considering the findings regarding regression analysis; it has been found out that as socio-economic level increases the anxiety levels towards KPSS decreases and that the anxiety levels of men are lower than those of women participants. Finally it has been seen that peer support, self-esteem and self-efficacy variables regress the anxiety towards KPSS in a positively.
