Abstract:

The main objective of this research is to evaluate the communication skills of children who continue to pre-school education. In the framework of this main objective, the 5-6-year-old group of children continuing pre-school education has studied whether their communication skills vary or not according to the age, the duration of continuing to childhood, the status of parent association, the income level of the family, the duration of stay in childhood, the number of children in the family and the order of birth. The sample of the research in the relational scan model in the spring semester 2016-2017 is made up of a 5-6-year-old group of 500 children who are undergoing education in the 14 state pre-school education institutions located in 6 districts in the province of Istanbul. The data collection tool was used as "Information Form" and "Communication Skills Scale for 5-6-year-old children". The data was analyzed using the SPSS 20 program. The study found that the 5-6-year-old group continued pre-school education found that the communication skills of children varied significantly according to the time of presence in the kindergarten, the number of children in the family and the order of birth while living, the duration of continuation in the kindergarten, the status of parent association and the level of income of the family.
