Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to measure the activities of 17 firms which are registered in BIST (Borsa İstanbul) by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and to determine how Malmquist Total Factor Productivity (MTFP) index and firms' efficiency change over the years. For this purpose, analyzes have been made by taking into account the data obtained from the financial statements and balance sheets for the years 2013-2017. In the analyzes, two output variables, namely current ratio, acid-test ratio, leverage ratio, financing rate, stock turnover rate and active turnover rate, six input variables and total asset profitability and profitability of sales were used. As a result of the study, it is seen that 8 firms in 2013, 6 firms in 2014, 4 firms in 2015, 5 companies in 2016 and 2017 have a relative 100% efficiency. F15 is the only company that has 100% efficiency in every five years.
