Abstract:

Dil öğretiminde materyal kullanımı, hem öğrenici hem de öğretici açısından başarıyı arttıran bir unsurdur. Otantik materyaller, doğal/gerçek dili sınıf ortamına taşıyan ve öğretim amaçlı hazırlanmamış olan görsel, görse-işitsel ve yazılı türleri içinde barındıran etkili araçlardır. Otantik materyaller aracılığıyla öğreniciler hedef dile ait kültüre daha doğal ve hızlı ulaşırlar. Yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi sürecinde, öğreticilerin faydalanabilecekleri otantiklik, otantik materyal türleri, öğretim sürecinde otantik materyallerin önemi ve otantik materyal seçiminde dikkat edilmesi gerekenlerin tartışılmasının amaçlandığı bu çalışmada araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, Türkçeyi yabancı dil olarak öğrenmeye devam edenler için öğrenici, öğrenicilere öğretme işinden sorumlu olan kimseler içinse öğretici terimleri kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma, öğrenilenlerin kalıcılığını sağlamak, dersleri zevkle işlenir ve takip edilebilir hâle getirmek için öğretim ve öğrenme süreçlerinde kullanılabilecek otantik materyallerin özelliklerinin tartışılması ve bunlar aracılığıyla yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi alanında görev yapan öğreticilere çeşitli fırsatların sunulması açısından önemli görülmektedir. Çalışmada Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak öğretimi alanında otantik materyal kullanımının yetersiz olduğu sonucuna varılmış ve bu durumun iyileştirilebilmesi için öneriler sunulmuştur. Abstract: The use of materials in language teaching is an element that increases success in terms of both the learner and the instructor. Authentic materials are effective means, that are not prepared for teaching purposes, which carrying visual, audio- visual and written genres that carry natural / real language to the classroom environment. Through authentic materials, learners reach the culture of the target language more naturally and quickly. in this study which aims to discuss authenticity and authentic material types that teachers can benefit from in the process of teaching Turkish to foreigners, t he importance of authentic materials in teaching process, and the issues to be considered in the selection of authentic materials, document analysis method was used. In this study, the “learner” term used for those who continue to learn Turkish as a foreign language, and for those who are responsible for teaching to the learners “instructor” term is given. In the study, the continuous developments in the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners provide recognition of material deficiencies. This study is considered important in terms of providing the persistence of the lessons learned and discussing the characteristics of authentic materials that can be used in teaching and learning processes to make the lessons enjoyable and traceable, and by offering them various opportunities for teachers teaching Turkish to foreigners. In the study, it was concluded that the use of authentic material in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language was insufficient and suggestions were given to improve this situation.
