Abstract:

Nonlinear canonical correlation analysis is a technique which is used in the investigation of the relationships between clusters. Nonlinear canonical correlation analysis is used to analyze categorical data. Depression, anxiety and stres is the most common diseases of our age. Depression, anxiety and stres is widely seen over especially in university students. The aim of this study, using nonlinear canonical correlation analysis, examine the relationships between demographic charazteristics of university students and levels of depression, anxiety and stres. In this study, depression, anxiety and stres scale is used. As a result of the nonlinear canonical correlation analysis the fit value is found to be 1,43. “Depression”, “anxiety”, “stres” and “happiness levels” variables are important variables in the analysis. The result of analysis the students which are “very good” level of happiness, are “normal” levels of depression. Students of the Faculty of Art and Sciences are found to be mild levels of depression and stres. The students which are have a middle level of happiness level, grow a town and have a broken family structure
