Abstract:

In this study, performance evaluation has been made between Turkey and European Union Countries based on the data of Eurostat (European Statistics) and TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute) by using Multi-Criteria Decision Making methods ENTROPY and COPRAS. In the study, criteria that are primarily important in the evaluation of airline performance is determined.  This criteria were defined as a the number of arriving and departing passengers, the amount of cargo carried, air traffic, commercial aircraft fleet, IATA's member, the number of international airports and the number of people were killed. Criteria weights have been identified by the ENTROPY method and the performance assessing of the alternatives has been made with COPRAS methods. As a result of this study Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, Turkey and France show the best performances in this method.
