Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to divide the information technology and software course in the teaching of the Scratch unit and to study the impact of the use of combination techniques on the students' class-oriented attitude, academic success and its durability. The study used a semi-experimental pattern with the last test control group. The research was conducted in the second semester of the 2015-2016 educational year with a total of 60 students, including 30 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group, who are studying in the 6th grade of the Shadi Turgutlu High School in Manisa Ili Turgutlu District. The courses in the control group were processed through the methods specified in the curriculum, in the traditional method, and in the experiment group, in the unit "Scratch with Programming" for seven weeks using the separation and combination technique. The experiment and control group is applied to students as a class-oriented attitude scale and developed academic success test, pre-test, final test and durability test. The data on the answers the students gave to the durability test was obtained seven weeks after the application. As a result of the data analysis, the conclusions have been achieved that the teaching by separation and combination technique positively affects the academic success in the course of computer technologies and software, the attitude towards the course and the durability of the learned information.
