Debates surrounding foundational logic and methodology of social sciences occupied agenda of a lot of social sciences in the last quarter of the twentieth-century. In the light of those debates which are currently still quite vivid in social sciences and sociology in general and in particular respectively, a new paradigm has made itself felt. One of the important social scientists, namely Wallerstein, by pointing to the euro-centralist characteristic of the emergence and institutional history of modern social sciences, has opened the problematical identity of social sciences up for discussion in many of his Works. In the light of his evaluation, Wallerstein argued for a new paradigm but concerning what that of paradigm is, he is of the opinion that more time is needed for the suitable answer. Present work endeavours to deal with Wallerstein's evaluations with regard to objections directed to historical foundation and current status of modern social sciences.
