Bu makalenin temel amacı Türkiye’de en çok bilinen ve Türk Milli marşını yazan şair olan Mehmet Akif Ersoy’un şiirlerinde ki bazı sosyolojik yaklaşımları anlamaya çalışmaktır. Mehmet Akif Ersoy yeni kurulan Türkiye Cumhuriyetinde ortaya çıkan toplumsal ve kültürel sorunlar hakkında oldukça kaygılıdır. Özellikle birey ve toplum arasındaki ilişkilere eğilmiş ve geniş bir açıdan bakarak toplumsal meseleleri incelemede tarihsel bir yol geliştirmiştir. Bu şekilde Doğu’nun hikmetini Batı’nın estetik modernitesiyle mezcetmeye çalışmıştır. Şiirleri ülkede yaşayan bireylerin sorunları kadar toplumsal ve kültürel sorunlarla da ilişkilidir. Aslında asırlardır devam eden toplumsal sorunları eleştirme ve ironic bir şekilde ele alma yolunu bulmuştur. Onun için şiirlerinde birçok toplumsal ve kültürel realiteleri bulmak mümkün gözükmektedir. Bu özellikleri onu Türkiye tarihinde yer alan en ünlü, yaratıcı ve güçlü şairlerinden biri haline getirmiştir.
The main objective of this article is to try to understand some sociological approaches in the poems of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, a well-known and writer of the Turkish National March in Turkey. Mehmet Akif Ersoy is very concerned about the social and cultural problems arising in the newly established Republic of Turkey. Specifically inclined to the relationships between the individual and society and developed a historic pathway in the study of social issues in a broad perspective. In this way he tried to worship the wisdom of the East with the aesthetic modernity of the West. Their poems are related to social and cultural problems as well as the problems of individuals living in the country. In fact, it has found a way to criticize and ironicly address the continuing social problems for centuries. For him it seems possible to find many social and cultural realities in his poems. These characteristics have made him one of the most famous, creative and powerful poets in the history of Turkey.
The main aim of this study is to try to understand some of sociological approaches in the poems of Mehmet Âkif Ersoy as one of the most known Turkish poets and also the author of national anthem of Turkey. He was deeply concerned about social and cultural problems emerged in newly established Turkish Republic. Specifically leaning on the relationship between individual and society he achieved to develop an historical way of analyzing social issues from multifaceted angles. By this way he tried to combine Eastern wisdom with Western modernization perspectives. His poems dealt with social and cultural problems as well as those of each individuals living in the country. On this base he also created a way of looking at social problems going on for ages in an ironic manner and criticized them rigorously. Therefore it is possible to see many kinds of social and cultural realities in his poetry. This perhaps made him one of the famous, creative and strongest poets in the history of Turkish society.
