So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

As in other developing countries, in Turkey the banking sector constitutes the most important component of the financial sector. Recent positive improvements in the economic conjuncture and banking sector have increased the attractiveness of the Turkish banking sector. In parallel to these developments, the assets of foreign banks within the sector have shown a significant upward movement. The rapid increase in the entry of foreign capital to the sector has raised the question of how foreign banks will affect the national economy and the domestic banking sector. Therefore, in this study, the effect of the entries of foreign banks on investments and GNP has been assessed. In the period of 1981-2007, effect of the share of foreign bank assets in Turkish banking sector’s total assets and the share of foreign bank loans in the sector's total loans on investment and GNP have been analyzed by means of the regression analyses. Based on the results of the analyses, it is found that foreign banks have positive impacts on investments and GNP
